Daniel 2:2- Nebuchadenezzar the king of Babylon was disturbed by a dream until Daniel interpreted it for him. 

-A dream can disturb somebody until he/she acts on it. God visits people at night to plant blessings, warnings in the dreams and even satan visits to plant evil things and to steal in the dreams. 

-Genesis 31:22-23- Laban was warned by God not to tell Jacob anything good or bad in a dream while he was pursuing him. 

-God protects his children who do good. 

-God punishes their enemies in the dreams. 

-1 Kings 3:3-15- Solomon was given wisdom and knowledge by God in the dream. 

-Job 36- Don't desire nights, people are cut. So one can be killed at night in the dream and the death becomes physical. 

-Job 33:14-15- In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, God speaks in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. To warn them from wrongdoings and keep them from pride or man can be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in his bones. 

New Testament: 

-Evil seeds are planted at night. Matthew 13:24-30. 

-About the birth of Jesus Christ, Joseph the father, wanted to refuse to marry Mary but God spoke to him against it in the dream- Matthew 1:20. 

-When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Joseph was warned again in a dream to go to Egypt as King Herod wanted to kill the child- Matthew 2:13-15. 

-On Jesus' crucifixion and death, Pilate's wife dreamt Jesus was innocent and informed the husband not to deal with the case-Matthew 27:19.

Joel 1:13-15

 Put on sackcloth, you priests, and mourn; wail, you  who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God. Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord. Alas for that day! For the day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
